Fellow C-L Rotarians,

As I mentioned at our recent Rotary meeting, Herberger's has created a unique ON-LINE BOOKLET SALES LINK specifically for Central Lakes Rotary.  You can simply copy and paste the link in an email to your friends and family so that they can order their coupon books on line, and they can also pass it along to their friends & family as well.  The link to use is: http://bit.ly/2vPbmQ8.  Booklets ordered via this link will be mailed free of charge before the event begins, and our club will be credited with the sale.  Make sure you include in your email that the $5 booklet contains over $500 in coupons and more importantly, 100% of the funds raised will be donated to 3 area Food Shelves (Crosslake, Pequot Lakes and Pine River).

You can DOWNLOAD the  Coupon Book Email Template that you can simply copy and paste into your own email to your network of family, friends and colleagues.  Just be sure to insert your name where designated in RED.

BOOKS SOLD AT HERBERGER'S:
If possible, every Club Member should consider taking at least 1 2-hour shift at Herberger's sometime during the month of October, especially if you are not able to sell many books face-to-face.  I know in the past our club has taken only one time slot and sold at all 3 doors during that time slot, but NOW we can sell booklets at the store as often as we want to...some area groups have a time slot scheduled twice a week, every week.  Linda Marrin and Patty Baltz are signed up for Wednesday, October 4 from 2-4 P.M.  Here's how on-site sales works:

  1. Shifts are in 2-hour segments can can be at 1 of 3 doors.  If 3 people want the same date/time, we can request all 3 doors;
  2. Shift times are from 10 A.M. - Noon; Noon-2 P.M.; 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.; 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
  3. I submit the request for each desired shift and then will be advised via email if the request is confirmed.
  4. Since there are many other organizations involved in this community fundraising event, please give me more than one date/time that will work for you and let me know if you have a preferred door (mall entrance, south entrance [sportswear] or north entrance [accessories]);
  5.  I will keep a calendar and try to remind you when your shift is coming up.
  6. We can sell booklets at the store as often as we want to.

The group that sells the most booklets gets to work selling books at the store for 2 hours the DAY OF the sale (lots of people will purchase books that day) and Herberger's shares the proceeds from booklet sales made by their sales associates by prorating the funds across the top-selling groups.

Let's make this our best year and maximize our donations to the Crosslake, Pequot Lakes and  Pine River Food Shelves!
